A Leap Abroad: The 1990s

 Every great story has a turning point. For BCM, that moment came in 1990 when Bayswater Contracting took a bold step onto the global stage. Invited by Minproc, the company entered Ghana to deliver civil works for Sansu project.

From dams to processing plant foundations, this successful debut opened the door to further civil works at Iduapriem, Bogosu, Tarkwa, and Damang.

By the mid-1990s, the company made a defining choice — to wind down operations in Australia and dedicate its future to West Africa. Out of this bold move, the BCM global identity was born.

This chapter marked not just the expansion, but also the transformation that serves as the foundation for the BCM story we celebrate today.
