A company based in Accra specializing in the re-manufacturing of earth-moving and mining machinery components is seeking a motivated and experienced team player to join its team as an Accounts Officer.
Job Purpose/Summary:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and managing financial transactions, records, and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Financial record-keeping and accounting
- Accounts payable and receivable management
- Creating and processing invoices and refunds
- Financial reporting and budgeting
- Compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Managing and reconciling company bank accounts
- Liaising with auditors and other financial stakeholders
- Handle tax filings and provide financial analysis to support business decisions
- Maintaining an accurate Fixed Asset Schedule which tracks assets, their locations and depreciation schedules. Prepare audit working papers and assist with annual audit
- Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time in support of the organization’s mission.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Partly qualified CA, ACCA, etc.
- Relevant qualifications in the field of Financial Accounting (Bachelor’s degree or Higher)
- Proven work experience of at least 3 years
- Good knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards
- Competency in using accounting and office management software (Sage, Pronto, QuickBooks, SAP MS 365 etc.)
