ACCOUNTS OFFICER

A company based in Accra specializing in the re-manufacturing of earth-moving and mining machinery components is seeking a motivated and experienced team player to join its team as an Accounts Officer.

Job Purpose/Summary:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and managing financial transactions, records, and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial insights.

 

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Financial record-keeping and accounting
  • Accounts payable and receivable management
  • Creating and processing invoices and refunds
  • Financial reporting and budgeting
  • Compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  • Managing and reconciling company bank accounts
  • Liaising with auditors and other financial stakeholders
  • Handle tax filings and provide financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Maintaining an accurate Fixed Asset Schedule which tracks assets, their locations and depreciation schedules. Prepare audit working papers and assist with annual audit
  • Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time in support of the organization’s mission.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Partly qualified CA, ACCA, etc.
  • Relevant qualifications in the field of Financial Accounting (Bachelor’s degree or Higher)
  • Proven work experience of at least 3 years
  • Good knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Competency in using accounting and office management software (Sage, Pronto, QuickBooks, SAP MS 365 etc.)
