Mining firm, BCM Ghana has pledged to deepen its corporate social responsibility in schools and communities around Labone and its environs.
The pledges comes after the BCM Women in Mining Chapter organised a health talk on breast cancer awareness and screening at the Presbyterian Senior High School in Osu on Monday ( 14 October) as part of breast cancer awareness month.

Mining companies have been advised to put in more effort to reduce serious accidents and fatalities in their mines.
In 2023, Ghana’s mining industry recorded seven fatal accidents and 14 serious accidents, compared to only one fatal accident in 2022.
